Job Summary: The primary function of this position is to serve as an Instrument Operations Technician. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in basic process plant operations, as well as skills in maintenance and troubleshooting in process instrumentation, controls, or electrical equipment. Principal Responsibilities: Safety Adhere to safe work policies and participate in safety meetings. Apply hazardous work permit (HWP), lockout-tagout (LOTO), and energy isolation procedures. Follow management of change (MOC) procedures. Monitor and direct contractors. Reliability and Maintenance Support inventory management. Set up and operate tools and equipment safely. Prioritize and schedule work activities. Perform and document analyzer calibrations. Instrumentation & Controls (Once Certified): Perform basic troubleshooting of instrumentation and control valves. Support troubleshooting of process control systems. Electrical (Once Certified): Perform basic electrical troubleshooting. Perform LOTO and confirm zero energy. Process Operation and Efficiency Assist with shutdowns, start-ups, and process changes. Utilize CMMS (SAP) for maintenance tasks. Troubleshoot process issues and perform water treatment analysis. Accept on-call duty and overtime as needed. Required Skills: Basic math skills, computer proficiency, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and with mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of chemical hazards, electrical safety, and ability to interpret engineering drawings. Operate forklifts, cranes, or lifts. Qualifications: HSD or GED. At least 3 years of relevant experience. Technical certification or related degree; ISA Level 1 certification preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks and work at heights up to 200 ft.
