The Role The Project Manager manages all facets of a construction program, including development, coordination, and implementation of a program schedule to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with expected or surpassing quality. The role involves liaising between team members and clients on all matters. Projects typically range from $2,000 to $500,000 each, or $1,500,000 annually. Qualifications 4+ years' experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor Experience managing multiple projects, subcontractors, and vendors simultaneously Experience managing healthcare renovation in occupied facilities Knowledge of healthcare codes and regulations Proficiency in producing detailed fixed-price estimates using RS Means or similar tools Effective negotiation skills Resource management skills, including operations support staff, vendors, subcontractors, and time Strong ability to adapt, demonstrate integrity, collaborate effectively, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally Familiarity with technology such as Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, and BlueBeam Willingness to mentor and train team members Preferred certifications: USACE Construction Quality Management, Healthcare Construction Certificate (HCC), Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required Responsibilities Project Management: Budget creation and management, effective communication, ensuring contract compliance, developing and reviewing SOW, coordinating project closeout Estimating: Preparing estimates, quantity take-offs, entering line items, developing pricing Subcontractor Management: Soliciting proposals, evaluating proposals, negotiating agreements, coordinating buyout and site visits Scheduling: Developing and maintaining project schedules Business Development: Engaging with customers to understand needs and grow business Safety: Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental guidelines and regulations Travel between project sites is required, with occasional travel as needed. The work environment includes office and construction site visits, with physical demands such as walking uneven terrain, lifting weights, and visual acuity requirements.
