Join to apply for the Title Searcher role at Old Republic Title Job Description This is an in-office position located in the West Jordan, UT office. Title Searchers Search public records to determine ownership interest and encumbrances on real property that the company has been hired to transact. This role is responsible for accurately abstracting and examining residential and commercial real estate titles. Essential Functions Research county records and various other records repositories for instruments applicable to title. Copy or summarize recorded documents, such as warranty deeds, deeds of trust, liens, judgments affecting title, and verify legal descriptions, ownership, and restrictions. Analyze encumbrances to title, statutes, and prepare reports outlining encumbrances and actions to clear title. Communicate with managers and peers via electronic means, in person, or by telephone. Organize, plan, and prioritize work to accomplish daily tasks. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge And Skills Required Previous title searching experience. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to act independently with sound judgment and initiative. Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills. Active listening and awareness of nonverbal communication cues. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, completing mandatory training on time. Work scheduled hours, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. Maintain dependable and punctual attendance, including outside events if required. Accept supervision and constructive feedback. Interact professionally with management, colleagues, and clients via various communication channels. Demonstrate courtesy, flexibility, professionalism, and responsiveness. Perform other duties as assigned. Communication And Interpersonal Skills Excellent professional communication skills. Personable, positive, and professional demeanor.
